Well we went in and were placed at our seats. We sat there for exactly eight minutes. Then someone was placed in the booth behind us right away the waiter came up to that table first. Most likely because that table had more people than just me and my wife. I had a discussion with the manager getting only an apologize but he did not seem to want our business. My guess is we're sitting in a booth for four and there was just two of us make more money having four people than two. This is sad because we were going to eat up tonight.
We like the pan fried chicken dinners. They come with plentiful sides and the green chili is quite good. Prices have edged up over the last couple of years though food has remained consistently good.
Although the food was great, I had fish and chips and my boyfriend had a steak burger. The service was quick but when my boyfriend asked for another margarita before happy hour ended the waitress said we don't have happy hour in this section. The food was great we will still come back for the great food.
Great food in an historic site. The legends about their fantastic pan-fried chicken are all true. The one catch is that they're EXPENSIVE. A four-person bill can easily approach or even exceed $100.
After living in Castle Rock for 6 years, we finally went here after hearing so many good things about it. It was pretty busy, as expected because it was the CR Octoberfest, but the service and food were really good and the kids liked it too. We'll be going back.
I just wanted to have a nice dinner with my wife and this was one of my favorite places in Castle Rock to eat.
